South Korean giant Samsung faced a lot of failures with its foldable smartphones. But the company did not give up and constantly worked it by introducing improvements with every version. The company had earlier promised that it would make its foldable devices lighter and thinner and now it seems like it has kept up its promise with its Galaxy Z Fold 3. The smartphone is yet to be launched and has been passed by the TENAA certification of China while revealing some of its main features.
The Chinese variant of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 measures 158.2 X 128.1 X 6.4 mm when the device is unfolded. The upcoming smartphone will be thinner than its predecessor which is 6.9 mm thin. Some of the leaked images of the device have shown that it has less air gap when the device folds. So the low air gap means that it will have a thinner body and will also look more appealing. The TENAA listing has also revealed that it has a 6.2 inch cover display and has been powered by a 4,500 mAh battery and runs o0n Android 11. Since the device is folded, the device is powered by two batteries – 2,155 mAh and 2,345 mAh.
The upcoming foldable device has dual SIM functionality, has GPS, supports 5G Network with Bluetooth. Some of the earlier leaked imaged have also specified that it has a 7.55 inch foldable super AMOLED display and has a 16 MP under-display front camera. It also has an S Pen functionality and a side-mounted finger-print reader. The device has a type-C port and stereo speakers.
Talking about its processor it features Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 processor along with 12GB/16GB RAM, 256 GB/512GB Internal storage. The device is expected to be launched on August 11, 2021 along with the Z Flip 3, the Galaxy Watch, Galaxy Watch 4 Classic and the Galaxy Buds 2. It will be interesting to see Samsung come up with some interesting gadgets next month.
