None of the social networking giants tolerate any violence promotion on their network. This was a reason why the former President of the United States, was banned from Facebook and Twitter. But now the former US president Donald Trump has announced his plans to get back to the social network by launching his own social network. The plan was announced on October 20, 2021 and is an indication about his return to the platform.
Trump Media & Technology Group will be owning the social platform known as TRUTH Social which is expected to begin its beta launch for the invited guests in November, 2021. The app is already available for pre-order on the App Store of Apple. The group is not limited to just a social media platform, but is also planning to launch a video-on-demand service that will be based on subscription. The video service will feature non-woke entertainment programming and will be led by Scott St. John.
The statement from the group also mentioned that the TRUTH Social has been created to deal with the problem of Big Tech. Donald Trump was banned from Facebook and Twitter for attacking the US capitol on January 6. Trump added that the militant group like Taliban has a huge presence on Twitter but the American president has been silenced which is unacceptable. The statement has also mentioned that the Trump Media & Technology Group will be joining hands with Digital World Acquisition Corp and make TMTG a publicly listed company.
The deal will give the Trump Media & Technology Group an initial enterprise value of $875 along with an additional earnout of $825 million in additional shares. During Trump’s presidency, he used Twitter as a weapon to battle the tech giants and has alleged that they have wrongfully censored him. The former president now remains banned from Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for instigating the mob that ransacked Congress.
