Smartphone manufacturing giant Honor, which was once a conglomerate of Huawei Technologies, hasn’t been facing good times in terms of smartphone sales across the globe. However, despite the odds the company managed to sneak in to the mobile market in the western regions with its new flagship smartphone that it showed off at the Mobile World Congress. After the successful launch of the flagship, the company is not eyeing the budget smartphone segment with its new X-Series phone Honor X8.

Before Honor became an independent company, it was a practice for it with the affordable phones to put the numbers in front of the letter X. People might remember the Honor 9X that was launched in 2019 and had fairly scored in the market. But now it seems like the marketing strategy has been changed a bit but it cannot be said how much the change of a better and a figure could help the smartphone sales. The company is first aiming the markets of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, where Honor will be offering the products with the help of a few tricks that include 2GB of flash storage to expand the RAM Capacity. It is also focusing on the 93.6 percent of screen-to-body ratio feature.

Some of the other attractive features include its light weight and Google Mobile Services which means it will have the Google Play Store. The pre-orders of the budget smartphone has started in two countries on March 24, 2022 at hihonor.com and will have a price tag of 899 AED that comes to approximately $245. For now the smartphone will be available in the above mentioned gulf countries and in future it can be said that the company would launch the smartphone to more countries.

COVID-19 has been a tough year for the smartphone manufacturers as the sales had dipped dramatically. But now that things are turning around on a steady level, the sales of smartphones is also improving.
