GadgetHerald.com: South Korean giant Samsung has announced the launch of the Galaxy Note 2, which is the follow up of the stylus driven gadget. It will reportedly go on sale in Britain on October 1, 2012. The device was first introduced last year which met with skepticism, but it proved itself as a success and has served as a link between the tablets and the smartphones with sales of more than 10 million.
Simon Stanford, the Samsung UK executive said, “The introduction of the original Galaxy Note was a great success – we succeeded in creating an entirely new category”. Stanford added, “With the Galaxy Note 2, we’re not only expanding the category, we’re also evolving the technology to the point where it genuinely feels as though you’re using a traditional pen and paper.”
The new device has a 5.5-inch screen and is powered by a 1.6 GHz quad core processor, it is lighter and thinner than its predecessor. The Galaxy Note 2 runs on the latest version of Google’s Android Operating System, Jelly Bean and comes with an upgraded version of the S – Pen.
The new device will be available on all the mobile networks in marble white and titanium grey, but the pricing of the device has not yet been revealed.
