Asus Android Honeycomb 3.0 Tablet PC To Be Unveiled At The CES

Gadget Herald: Asus, the Chinese based technology manufacturer will be unveiling the Android Honeycomb 3.0 based tablet PC at the CES 2011, this the most awaited moment for the company. The Android Honeycomb operating system is especially built for tablets and will run on tablet based processors, a massive achievement by Google.

The new series of Asus tablets or pads are named Eee Pad Transformer, Eee Pad Slider and Eee Pad Memo, and it is reported that the Transformer and the Slider are 10.1 inch tablets, which will be released in the month of April or May. The Slider, as its name, comes with full QWERTY sliding keypad, and is powered by a Nvidia Tegra 2 chip and also an Nvidia GPU.

These tablets may have a 1.3 megapixel camera, and is priced between $399 and $699 in the US market at its time of launch. A Wintel Tablet too is in the line of being launched and will be showcased at the event, as it is called Eee Slate EP121.
