Electronics bigwig LG have released information about their much-anticipated Optimus G Pro on February 18, 2013. The South Korean tech company said that the new device will sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 Processor and a 5.5-inch touchscreen. The remaining specs of the new device are said to be similar to that of the Optimus G Pro that will be released in Japan.
At the end of January 2013, LG had announced the release of its Optimus G Pro smartphone. This phone has a 1080p resolution, 5-inch screen and a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro chip inside. One of the main differences between the device announced earlier and the current one is the powerful Snapdragon 600 Processor. Even though this processor packs a punch, it does not quite add up to the power of the Snapdragon 800 chip, which was announced at the Consumer Electronics Show 2013 in Las Vegas earlier this year.
According to reports, the Snapdragon 600 will be clocking speeds of up to 1.7 GHz in the new phone. The Optimus G Pro will be going on sale in Korea by the end of February 2013 and is set to hit North American shores by the summer of 2013. It is also possible that the phone will be launched in the US and European markets sooner rather than later in the year 2013 itself.
