Gadget Herald: South Korean electronic giant LG’s Optimus 2X smart phone might get the new Gingerbread operating system, Android 2.3 in the month of July. The phone comes with 387 MB and 512 MB of RAM memory, and the new reports have made people curious about the new operating system in the phone.
As the phone already has Dual Core Tegra 2, it performs much slower with the LG Android 2.2 OS. The current OS runs much slower than the unofficial Cyanogen MOD Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread when it was tested.
Users who already own an Optimus 2X P990 are eager to see the official 2.3 version of the phone. But at the same time, there are also users that are satisfied with the Cyanogen.
Some users have said that as apps in the earlier OS work fine, they do not miss the official software at all.
