Gadget Herald: Apple iPhone and iPod users in the UK can now use a new bank application as the banking system now comes on the phone. The application was launched by First Direct.
Reports state that the new bank application is now available in Apple App store. The users, with the help of the app, can check balance and can check the last 20 transactions of their account. Moreover, the app also facilitates the users to transfer balance from one account to another. In 2008, the first iPhone app was launched by the Bank of America and sources state that First Direct claims to have plans to stay ahead in the app market in UK.
Feedback from the users will be invited by the bank for additional features that users may desire. The CEO of First Direct, Matt Colebrook said that the app is a huge step towards enlarging the ideas of mobile banking. The bank aims to make the ‘on the go’ app available to other smart phone devices too. The CEO also added that iPhone was selected first for the app as their customers were mostly iPhone users.
