Gadget Herald: Olive, an Indian based cellphone and tablet manufacturer will soon launch India’s first HSPA+ capable device. This will be first Google Android OS based phone from the company and it will soon reach the Indian market. The phone will run on the Android 2.2 FroYo and will feature high speed packet access technology, which can also be termed as a fourth generation technology.
Today Olive is one of the best phones in India and it’s also an emerging cellphone company on a global standard. This will be India’s first HSPA+ smartphone, as the country has the HTC Desire and HTC Desire Z already present in the market. The phone can access internet at speeds of almost 14Mbps.
This is the first time an Indian company has ever produced the HSPA+ technology in the country. As per Qualcomm India and Asia Pacific, the phone may run on the Qualcomm’s 800MHz Scorpion core based MSM7x30 processor or the 1GHz MSM8x55 processor. In addition to this, phone will have a 12 megapixel camera.
