The Sonos One speakers to get an attractive update

Sonos One

The Sonos One is already one of the best smart speakers in the market. The US based consumer electronics company is now ready to give an update to the product and will make it available in a range of new colors and will be joining hands with the Danish design brand Hay. The device will be available in three colors green, red and yellow and will be placed alongside the speakers which are already available in black and white.

The new color models will be available for the gadget enthusiasts in September, 2018. The bad news is that the color variants will be a little more expensive than the existing Sonos Ones at £229 compared to the £199. It has not been officially confirmed by Sonos, but the new lime up is being referred as the Limited Edition Collection which means that the upcoming variants might not be a part of the permanent line up.

Another update that the users are eagerly waiting for is the Google Assistant. The Sonos One was launched in 2017 and then it solely relied on the Alexa for the voice control. At that time Sonos had promised that support for Google’s Voice assistant will be introduced in 2018. After the launch, Sonos One will be the only speaker in the market to support both the voice assistants natively.

Considering, that the speakers already are jam packed with features, the new update will make it even more capable. The only drawback of the device are its looks. The earlier smart speakers like the Google Home and Amazon Echo have tried to provide a wide range of looks earlier.

The latest range of Amazon Echo is available in various colors and Google Home offers a removable speaker grille which can be replaced with different color accessories. Despite the little drawback, Sonos is surely going to be on the popular side.
