Huawei unveils Honor 10 – specifications and release date

Honor

After the success of the award winning device Huawei’s Honor 9, the company has announced the latest Honor 10. Once again, the Honor 10 will be giving away some hot features at a very reasonable price just like the Honor 9. The device has been unveiled in China with a launch date of April 27, 2018. Even the price has been confirmed with 2,599 for the 64 GB device, 2,999 yuan for the 128 GB device.

Prices at other markets are yet to be announced by the makers. The Honor 10 is expected to be launched later in April, 2018. Invites have been sent with the date May 15 and the tagline says, Beauty in AI. So expect more on it shortly. Talking about its features, the first thing that can be noticed is the ‘notch’ design at the top of the screen. The feature has been seen on a lot of smartphones in recent times.

The Honor 10 will be available in teal, blue and black colors. The device has a full HD, 5.84 inch display which is similar to that on the Huawei P20 Lite which has a 2,2280 X 1,080 resolution. The Honor 10 has a dual camera with 20 and 24 megapixel sensors and LED flash. There is also a big 24 mega pixel sensor on the front. The camera has the text AI written next to it which refers to the artificial intelligence feature similar to that on the P20 and the Asus Zenfone 5.

Once again the fingerprint scanner is underneath the screen and it is not clear why the Honor gave up on the fingerprint scanner on the rear for its flagship phones. The device is expected to have the Kirin 970 processor with a 3,320 mAh unit battery. Some reports have said that it will also have a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The device is expected to run on Android 8.1 Oreo with EMUI interface for a hassle free operation.
