Smartphone manufacturing giant Vivo has been one of the most popular brands in the market. The Chinese company had in 2018 delivered a series of devices with promising and experimental hardware. Vivo is ready with its first major launch of 2019 with its V15 Pro. The new device by the company has high-end features in to the mid-range main stream from the company’s Nex flagships. This means that it is an unusual device that does not have any competitors and a spec sheet that is all over the place.
In recent times, the V series of Vivo has been a trend setter for screen design trends with the V9 being one of the first Android phones with a notch and the V11 carrying what might still be the smallest notch yet. For now the V15 has gone a step ahead with a notchless 6.4 inch OLED display achieved by the reappearance of one of the Vivo’s best tricks which is the pop-up selfie camera from the original Nex.
This time the front facing camera is a lot more intense and has a 32 megapixel sensor, which marks a big improvement from the 5 megapixel unit in the Nex. At the rear, there is a three camera array which includes a 48 megapixel main sensor that shoots 12 megapixel photos by default, 8 megapixel wide angle camera and a 5 megapixel depth sensor. The three cameras have been arranged side by side in a section of the phone and also has a pop-up selfie camera which makes it an ultimate camera hub.
This actually makes it look cool to have so many cameras lined up side by side. The V15 is the first phone that has been built around the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 675 processor that was announced shortly after the 710 and confusingly outperforms it on paper despite it being on the lower tier. Other features include a 3.700 mAh battery, 6 or 8 GB RAM, 128 GB Storage with Android 9 Pie and a headphone jack.
