It is usually noticed that business laptops tend to be heavy and are not particularly stylish. But HP is trying its hand to add the trend factor to the Elite Dragonfly, which is a thin and light laptop that is aimed at the business users. HP has added a few premium features along with refined styling that borrows from some of HP’s competitors. It can also be used as a slick notebook that has a hefty price tag.

The laptop features a 13.3 inch display with three different variants. The low power 1080p display has a good brightness of 400 nits or a high performance 1080p option with 1,000 units. A bright display will be very usable even in direct sunlight and the low-power display used just one watt of power. The users will also have the option of 4K display with 550 nits of brightness. The display covers 86 percent of the device.

HP has also managed to get a webcam in the right place above the screen. A small physical camera with shutter mechanism is added for peace of mind. The Elite Dragonfly is powered with the latest Intel Processors and also supports Wi Fi 6 and LTE connectivity. It also features the old USB-A port with Thunderbolt 3. There are also B & O speakers which are next to the keyboard and also used recycled plastic that is extracted from water.

Talking about the keyboard, HP has said that it is crafted a special microphone array that tracks the keystrokes and cancels the sound in the audio driver. This means that the users can type during an online meeting without anyone hearing it. The new laptop by HP is the company’s first fully magnesium chassis and has followed the footsteps of Microsoft’s Surface products. The product comes in dark blue color that HP calls Dragonfly Blue. The laptop also has multi-layer anti-oil coating to reduce fu=ingerprint built up.
