WhatsApp updates its stickers and wallpapers feature

WhatsApp has launched new feature that would help the users to have an enhanced experience in terms of its wallpapers and stickers. This was something that the instant messaging service was contemplating since a long time and is now finally able to implement. An official announcement came from WhatsApp on December 1, 2020. The users will hereafter be able to set custom wallpapers for different chats to make it easier for the users to distinguish between the hundreds of chats that they are engaged with at the same time.

There is no limit as to how many custom wallpapers a user can select to be assigned to different chats. The service with more than 2 billion users said that they focused on making the chats personal and distinguishable with the help of custom wallpapers. With the introduction of the new feature, the users will no longer have to worry about sending the wrong message to the wrong person.

There is more as the instant messaging service is launching the doodle wallpaper , which is the default wallpaper that will be available in more colors. The users will be able to see more images of the nature as well as architecture across the globe. There is also a feature where the users will be able to set a different wallpaper that activates when the phone switches from light to dark mode. Apart from the wallpapers, the users will hereafter find it easy to search for stickers with the help of text or emoji. They can browse through some of the common categories.

The creators of the stickers were asked by the firm to tag it with emojis so they are easily discoverable by the users. There are some additional stickers and one of them is the ‘Together At Home’ that can now be accessed as animated stickers. These stickers have been developed to create awareness about the coronavirus pandemic.
