South Korean tech giant Samsung has followed a tradition to launch its Galaxy S smartphones at the Barcelona’s Mobile World Congress. But this year it seems like it is all set to break the tradition. A report from a leading daily has claimed that Samsung will be showing off its 10th anniversary flagship phone line up and also the much awaited foldable phone at the events in San Francisco and London on February 20, 2019.
Some of the initial reports had suggested that that gadget enthusiasts will have to wait until March, 2019 for the foldable phone to be launched. The upcoming foldable phone is rumoured to be named as the Galaxy F. This means that soon the smartphone watchers will come to know what the price of the smartphone will be. Reports say that the device would come at an eye-watering price of $1,770. It will also be interesting to know if the 5G enabled S10 would be a more affordable alternative.
The details of the upcoming S10 smartphone were leaked earlier in 2019. Some of the reports had claimed that the device will have a hole-punch display with tiny bezels and multiple cameras. The company was also talking about its foldable device since a long time and the S10 represents the first major redesign of the Galaxy S line of smartphones since the S8 in 2017.
Talking about the foldable phone, Samsung has so far showed just the main screen of the device and also revealed some of the specifications of the phone. The company has so far not shared the full product or shared any press renders of the design. It has also not announce the name of the handset so far and could be named as the Galaxy F, Galaxy Fold or the Galaxy Flex. The CES 2019, saw Samsung show the almost final version of the product to its partners.
