In the past few years, the fast charging technology has been developing rapidly. The new 100W charging tech by Xiaomi seems like it is all set to leave all the rest behind if things actually turn out to be true. For now Huawei, Oppo and OnePlus have their own fast charging technology but all those might soon be left behind when the new 100W charging from the makers of the Pocophone F1 will be introduced.
Bin Lin, the CEO at Xiaomi, shared a video on the Chinese messaging and social platform Weibo which showed a super powerful charging device in action through 91 mobiles. The video has shown a device which is yet to be named device being charged alongside what looked like the Oppo R17 Pro. The unnamed handset by Xiaomi seems to have the 4,000 mAh Battery and has left behind the Oppo even with the 50W Super VOOC charging.
The video has shown the Xiaomi handset that went from dead to 100% in surprising 17 minutes. During the same tenure, Oppo managed to charge the device to 65 percent. Technically the Super VOOC is the fastest charging method for any devices which are available in the market at present and means that it is surely a big victory for Xiaomi.
The Chinese based company is yet to reveal any details on the new 100W fast charging tech or when it might reach upcoming Xiaomi handsets. Amidst an era of wireless chargers, no one knows what is the future of the fast chargers. But the users will surely prefer the 100W charging tech considering the fast life of most of the smartphone holders. Apple is already ready with its wireless charging pad and is soon expected to launch the charging pad that can charge multiple Apple devices. Xiaomi has to clearly standout to convince the users for the fast chargers.
