The launch of the new OnePlus is much awaited and seems like the launch is just round the corner. Max Jambor, a reliable leaker has Tweeted an information about the launch that mentions that the OnePlus 10 Pro is all set to be released in January or February 2022. But the device will be launched only in the Chinese market and the global launch of the device is expected to be held in March or April 2022 which would mean a three month gap between the Chinese and the global launch dates.

However, the company has earlier not followed the same pattern with its earlier devices. The OnePlus 9 Pro was launched in March 2021 globally. A three month gap between the local and global launch is a new pattern by the company. Earlier the company has given a day’s gap or has at least given it a semi global launch. Even Oppo has the practice of launching its smartphones in the home country first and on an international scale on a later date.

Pete Lau, the CEO of OnePlus made an announcement in September 2021 about a new era for the company known as the OnePlus 2.0. It meant that the company would be closely integrated with its parent company BBK along with the BBK owned properties that include Oppo. However, it has not given a clarification as to what it actually means. But there are possibilities that the OnePlus 10 Pro would be launched in China with Color OS which is the operating system similar to Android and is found on Oppo smartphones.

With the global launch the 10 Pro would ship with Oxygen OS, which is the same software skin that was shipped on the OnePlus devices for many years. No matter what the report says, all of the above information should be considered as no less than a rumor and should wait for an official confirmation from OnePlus.
