The Google TV app was launched in 2020 and is now available for download on iOS platform. People who are already having the earlier Google Play Movies and the TV software installed on their respective smartphones, the new app will replace them. The app will work in a similar way like it does for the Android smartphones. The new app on iOS can be used as a remote for the Google TV or the Android TV OS device. This will make it easier for doing certain things that would otherwise be difficult like typing the titles of movies or TV shows that you would like to watch.
There is more as the app can also be used to aggregate the recommendations of the content from the previous streaming services. However, it has to be noticed that not every app is supported here. For instance, Netflix is missing surprisingly. The good thing is that the user can make a single watchlist for the services that they pay for. There is also an option where the users can create a watchlist for their favorite actors.
As the users rate the movies and TV shows they watch, the app will automatically refine the suggestions as per their choice and preference. There would be personalized feeds with direct links to reviews, news and more options. The features do not end here as there would also be a dedicated section for the content that has been purchased or rented from Google.
Majority of the functionality will be displayed on the iPhone while rendering Google shared. The Google TV app can be downloaded from the App Store. The current trend is online streaming which has caught the attention of the users across the globe. Majority of the content from movies and TV shows can be found at the click of a button on the internet. Such platforms make it easier for the users to navigate.
