Instagram to introduce new feature to rearrange profile pictures

Photo sharing site Instagram is one of the popular social networking sites in recent times. Thanks to the owner Meta, who keeps adding new features for the users to better experience. Now the developers at Meta seem to be working on a new feature that is called as the Take A Break that would help with the growing smartphone addiction problem. Apart from the Take A Break feature, the company is reportedly also working on another feature that would help to arrange the posts on the profile in a custom order.

Developer, Alessandro Paluzzi, who reverse engineers the apps to find the hidden features and updates has found something that could be intriguing for the users in general. As per the screenshots shared on his Twitter account, the social networking giant has shared, a new feature would soon be added that will allow the users to edit the profile grid and rearrange the images. At present, the posts have been sorted as per reverse chronological order and no options are given to change the order or how the grid looks.

For now, users who added images to make a bigger one using clever grid tactics but got the order wrong, then they will have to start over again. But in future, this process will be made easier and the rearrangement of the pictures would be a cake walk. As per the screen shots, there would be an Edit Grid option under the Profile Setting. The option will display all the posts from the profile of the user and they can just drag and drop them in the order that they want. When they tap on ‘Done’ it will save the sequence the user asked for.

For now the option will not be visible as the feature is still under development and no official announcement has been made by Instagram so far. It is likely that the beta testers would receive the feature first.
