The iPhone 12 was launched with excitement among the gadget enthusiasts. Apart from the new features and design, the line-up also had support for 5G. But after a great launch, a number of users are complaining of quick battery draining on stand-by or even when the Wi-Fi and 5G is turned off. It could be said that the 5G support might be the actual reason behind the battery draining issue.
Although it might also be the case that since it is a new phone the battery might be draining too fast. But the fact is that happens as the new phone is used more during the early days. The users of the new phone tend to use it to check out the new features and restore data while checking out the new apps. There is often also a curiosity to check out the new camera which makes the battery drain a lot. While talking about the new iPhone 12, some of the models in the line-up have less capacity than the iPhone 11.
It was Master26A on Apple’s Communities forum that brought to notice about the battery drain problem in the iPhone 12 Pro despite being on Standby mode. While in the standby mode it is expected that it could be as good as the iPhone 11 Pro. And since then more than 1,000 people have said that they have also faced the same problem. A number of people are also facing a battery loss between 20 and 40 percent overnight. A number of people have also tried doing things like turning off the 5G and turning off the background activity app activity.
The battery drain problems are also being reported on Reddit and other places. Even on the Apple’s Communities forums more than 200 people are saying that they are also facing battery problems. People are also facing a similar problem on the iPhone 12 Pro as well.
