The much awaited tech event Consumer Electronics Show 2022 has started off at the Las Vegas Conventional Centre despite the drop out of some of the major tech companies. South Korean giant Samsung at the event unveiled its new Galaxy S21 FE smartphone that has a similar technology to its Galaxy S21 smartphone series. However the latest line of smartphone costs $100 less and starts from $699.
The new Galaxy S21 FE stands for Fan Edition and features 6.4 inch AMOLED screen along with the same processor that is found in the flagship devices, 5G capability and triple lens camera. The new S21 FE is available in graphite, olive, lavender and white colors. The battery of the smartphone gets charged to 50 percent after being plugged in for 30 minutes. The company opened pre-orders of the smartphone on January 3, 2022 and the handset will start shipping on January 11, 2022. President and head of Samsung Electronics, TM Roh in a statement said that they have received a good response for their Galaxy S20 FE and the Galaxy S21 line up. Roh added that they have applied the same approach to equip the S21 FE 5G with some of the premium features that matter the most to the Galaxy fans.
The President also said that they continued to focus on delivering a smartphone that meets their important needs. Samsung was expected to attend the CES in-person at Las Vegas but backed out over concerns related to the rising number of the omicron variant. Samsung hosted a virtual presentation that showed off its latest smartphone.
The S21 FE runs on the Snapdragon 888 chipset and offers two memory options 6 GB RAM with 128 GB Storage and 8GB RAM with 256 GB Storage.
