Finnish mobile manufacturing giant Nokia had teased pictures of their upcoming phone earlier this week and now it has unveiled its budget Asha 210 handset. The new phone has a full QWERTY keyboard and a dedicated WhatsApp button on the front.
The company has claimed that the new device from its Asha range is the most social Asha yet, with prominent social networking features like Facebook and Twitter. Users of the phone will get a free lifetime service of WhatsApp and the features of the handset include a 2 megapixel rear camera, which is not expected in a budget handset.
With the new WhatsApp button on the front and centre, the handset looks clearly inspired by the Facebook phone and bridges the gap between a feature phone a smartphone.
Nokia, while posting the new details on its website said that the phone will offer 46 days of battery life in the single SIM version and 24 days in the dual-SIM version. The new Asha 210 is expected to go on sale by June 2013 and could be priced at $72. The device also comes pre-loaded with YouTube apart from the social networking apps.
