Amazon entered in to the cloud gaming platform with Luna in 2020 and is now in par with other gaming services by Google and NVIDIA. AT the beginning of its launch, the service was limited to only a few users through an invite-only basis in the United States. The rollout of the service was relatively slow. But now nearly four months after its launch, the service is trying to stretch its wings to a wider audience. The retail giant is now offering the service to all the US users of its Fire TV products.
With the latest move Amazon will be looking forward to capture the audience who wish to have a big screen experience. A report from a leading daily has mentioned that the users of Fire TV can jump directly by downloading the app and can also get a 7 day free trial to the Luna+ Channel that otherwise costs $6 per month. With that the gamers will be able to have their hands on some of the exciting games like Metro Exodus, Sonic Mania, GRiD and Control. With the latest move the retailer is also looking forward to give the users option to sign up for the Ubisoft+ channel where they can play some of the games like Watchdogs:Legion and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
The devices that would be compatible include the Fire TV Cube, Toshiba Fire TV Edition, Fire TV Stick Lite, Fire TV Stick (2nd and 3rd generation) and Insignia Fire TV Edition. Luna with early access can support resolutions up to 1080p and 60 fps and they will need an internet speed of at least 10 MBPS.
In terms of GeForce Now and Stadia, the users can play Luna with the help of compatible third party Bluetooth controllers. But the gamers also have the option to user Amazon’s own controller and the company claims that it reduces the latency by 20 to 30 milliseconds.
