Search engine giant Google has revealed its new logo, along with a freshly-designed homepage. At first look, users of the search engine cannot notice any difference, but the famous logo actually received a new shape, with a different color palette. The company’s homepage also has a smaller range of links in the Google bar.
The new design is the first change to the company’s logo since 2010, however, not everyone will be able to see the changes on the website yet. Google is following in the footsteps of other internet brands that made changes to their logos – such as Yahoo and Bing – and will soon be introducing its new logo across the products of the company in the next couple of weeks.
Eddie Kessler, the tech lead and manager at Google in a blog post wrote, ‘If you’re anything like me, you move among devices and Google products on a regular basis. You might check Gmail on your phone, for instance, then organise your Calendar via laptop, then browse Google+ photos from your tablet.”
The products of Google are now available under an application which is located at the top right of the home page.
