HTC announces launch of HTC One Mini

After the success of its smartphone HTC One, mobile phone manufacturer HTC has – after several speculations – unveiled the latest HTC One Mini, which, as the name itself says, is the smaller version of the previous handset. The new handset will come in handy for those users who found the first handset to be too big for regular use.

The rival company Samsung has also released the Mini version of its flagship Galaxy S4, so it does not come as a surprise that HTC launched its own Mini version on the market. HTC aims to offer the majority of its phones in a scaled-down package and at a more affordable price. The HTC One Mini has a 720p HD display, with a resolution of 720 by 1,280 pixels.

The latest handset is good for those who find the 4.7-inch screen phone hard to use with one hand. The recent release from the company is expected to be a welcome development. The handset will run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

The device has a full-metal ‘zero gap’ construction with front-mounted BoomSound speakers. The One Mini has a 1.4 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with 1 GB of DDR2 RAM and 16 GB of internal Storage. The device will have a 1.6-megapixel unit which supports 720p HD video.
