Samsung launches new Notebook 9 Pen 2 in 1 packs

South Korean giant Samsung has given an update to its Notebook 9 series from 2017 with Intel’s 8th generation Core i7 chips. The lightweight Notebook 9 2018, in terms of looks will not differ much when compared to the 2017 models. The devices will not weight more than 2.84 lb but comes packed with the latest Intel Core i7 processor along with bigger batteries, for an always on experience for the users.

Samsung is due to launch various Notebook 9 2018 models which will have an updated 13.3 inch and 15 inch notebooks and a new 13 inch foldable Notebook 9 Pen 2-in-1 that comes with an S pen which has stuck to the slot next to the touchpad. All the devices will have a magnesium aluminum chassis.

Some of the features of the Notebook 9 Pen include a 360 degree hinge for twisting in to the tablet mode that can be used for drawing with the S Pen. The 2 in 1 device weighs 2.2 and has the capacity to be configured with up to 16 GB of RAM and can be extended up to 512 GB SSD storage with a display with a resolution of 1,920 X 1,080 pixels. It also features Intel HD Graphics.

The Pen model of the devices has very few ports of the lineup including USB-C port , an HDMI port, one USB 3.0 port and a microSD port. Among the new models, it features an IR camera which supports Windows Hello facial recognition to sign in.

The 2018 edition of the devices with 13.3 inch and 15 inch Notebook 9 are also available with 16 GB RAM and 8th generation Core i7 processors and come with storage options of up to 1 TB SSD. The south Kirean giant has highlighted on the always on power due to the 75Wh Haxecell battery which the company has claimed has the largest and most powerful battery in a notebook.
