Facebook launches exclusive app Tuned for couples

tuned

Facebook has made sure that its users never get bored. Even while it is facing different challenges amidst the coroanvirus outbreak, a small group from the company has managed to launch a fresh application that has been specifically designed for couples. The team is called as the New Product Experimentation (NPE) , which has rolled out the app known as Tuned. The new application allows people to create an intimate network between just each other and no one else.

The application can be connected to Spotify so the couples can share music and pictures can also be shared with each other. The couple can share cards, notes as well as voice memos. There are also custom stickers and reactions to make things more entertaining and fun. Going by the initial reports, the application seems to be free and does not need a Facebook account either. The only thing here is that the users will be subject to the data rules that have been laid down by the social networking giant. This means that the data that is provided by the users could be use for ad targeting.

Going by the features, it does not seem very interesting as it can be called as a normal, social network where the couples can chat directly, send memos or voice notes with pictures on any messaging application. Overall, it is a space that is exclusively for the couples to maintain their relation. There are also other relationship based applications in the market and have made similar experiences and some of them are offering activities or other therapy techniques that can be practiced.

For instance there is a meme-making application that was launched by the NPE team. There is also another application that is similar to Pinterest. None of the applications did not get much promotions from Facebook so a similar pattern might be followed with Tuned as well. But it is good to see the social networking giant to experiment with different apps for its users to have fun.
