ZTE launches Open C Firefox OS for $99 on eBay

Phone manufacturer ZTE has decided to launch its entry-level Open C Firefox OS smartphone and the new device is up for sale on the online shopping site eBay.com. The new Open C is a budget-friendly smartphone and comes with low-end specifications. However, it is good to know that the device will do the job for users who just need a basic smartphone.

The Open C was first showed off at Mobile World Congress in February 2014 in Barcelona. In the meantime, the company has released a few of its specifications and also gave the device the Firefox OS 1.3 update. ZTE’s latest smartphone features a 4-inch display with a low resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. The phone has features which are just enough for a budget and basic smartphone.

The device is powered by a 1.2Ghz Snapdragon 200 processor with 512 MB of RAM. With this in mind, the smartphone is meant only for the basic use, as it does not score much on the processor front. Other features of the device include a 3-megapixel camera on the rear, 1400 mAh battery with 3G HSDPA connectivity.

The device is currently being offered exclusively for a price of $99.9. Customers in the UK, Germany, Russia and 20 other countries in Europe can buy the Firefox phone.
